Home sleep home

Now that I've gotten older — I'm two months old now, after all! — it was time for me to get a place of my own. My bassinet had grown way too confining. I didn't even have room to stretch my legs anymore!

So Tuesday night, I left my bassinet behind for good and moved into my own room (what used to be Julia's nursery and is now all mine!) and my own crib. (For comparison's sake, Julia made the transition a week before her second-month birthday.)

Ahhh...that's much better! So how did I do in my new home? Well, the first night I was thrown off a bit by the new surroundings (and the fact that I fell asleep an hour earlier than usual, closer to 7 than to 8) so I got up three times at night instead of my usual two times. But that all changed Wednesday night, when I went to sleep around 8:30...and woke up a little before 6 the next morning! That's right, I slept through the night for the first time ever! I hope Mom and Dad don't expect that to happen again anytime soon, but at least we all know that it's possible. I think I'm going to like sleeping in my crib! (And in case you're wondering, I did pretty good last night too, sleeping from 8 until almost 4 a.m.)

Julia told me that Mom cried the first night that she moved over the crib. That's odd, because I don't think she was sad at all to have me leave! In fact, I heard her tell Dad she was excited to have her bedroom back because now she didn't have to tiptoe around me anymore at night. What a difference a second kid makes, eh?

And that marks the end of another eventful week. I'm happy to say that Monday's blog boycott worked wonders, because we've been flooded with tons of Ask Julia and Henry questions ever since. In fact, we received so many that we're going to split them into two separate posts next week, one with all the Henry questions and one with all the Julia questions. If you want to add yours to the mix, please do so asap; otherwise, have a great weekend!
