Disney disappointment

Julia and I are still sorting through all the Disney photos and videos, but we wanted to get this one up. This is how we reacted last Sunday morning when Mom and Dad finally told us we were going to Disney World. Notice how excited Julia is as first (and how I try to bite her)...until her real feelings come to light a few minutes later:



In a bit of non-Disney news, I had my long-delayed 18-month checkup this morning. I now am 35 inches tall and weigh 24 lbs. 4 oz. The doctor says I'm doing great!

What a wonderful World

We're back! And what an amazing trip it was. To paraphrase the song from one of my favorite rides, It's a Small World: it was a World of laughter, a World of tears, a World of hopes and a World of fears.

We've got hundreds of photos and hours of video to comb through, so you'll have to be patient (something that Henry and I aren't very good at). But once we get everything together, you won't be disappointed! For now, we'll leave you with this picture of one of my favorite meet-and-greets, with Princess Tiana (and Prince Naveen).

We're going to Disney World!

So now I understand why Mom and Dad have been talking to me nonstop this fall about Disney World (and why Dad had been showing me pictures and YouTube videos of all the rides there). Yesterday, they surprised with the news that we were going on a Disney vacation...later that same day!

Mom and Dad say they didn't even know for sure that we were going to go until Friday, when the doctor gave Henry the all clear to make the trip (hooray, he's healthy again!). But then there was a second big hurdle: yours truly.


You see, a few months after Dad and I went to Hilton Head, I announced that I never wanted to go on an airplane again (one of our four flights during that trip was a little bumpy, and I had a very delayed reaction to it). So once I heard this fall that you had to fly in an airplane to get to Disney World, well you can guess what my reaction was. Take a look at this video that Dad shot a few weeks ago:



So what did I say yesterday when I found out we were going? Well, you'll have to wait until next week, when Henry and I will share all the details of our big trip. Talk to you then!

Classic rocker

When Henry and I were babies, we loved spending time in this baby rocker. Here's an old photo of me relaxing in it when I was just three months old.


Wow, who was that chubby baby? Anyway, Mom and Dad are getting rid of a lot of that old baby stuff now that Henry has also outgrown. But inspired by the ending of Toy Story 3 - one of my favorite films right now - I decided to play with my old toy one last time. But unlike that film, I'm doing so by regressing and pretending that I'm a baby again.

I'm excited for the weekend. Mom and Dad told me that we're going to a super-special-surprise place on Sunday. Whatever could it be?

O Christmas tree

I'm still fighting my way to being healthy, but one thing that has helped brighten my spirits during my extended ilness has been seeing our Christmas tree, which Dad put up on Thanksgiving day during my nap. It wasn't finished yet when I came down, but I was sure surprised!



How pretty! And so many of my favorite people are on the tree, like Elmo and Thomas! Plus I love the fact that so many of the ornaments light up and play music. Here's some more pictures of Julia and me looking at the ornaments.




I sure do love our Christmas tree, and can't wait to see what else the holiday season has in store!
