Technical difficulties
So we've been MIA for awhile, and unfortunately that's going to continue for at least a few days longer. Last week we took some sick days (we're still a teeny bit congested but are doing much better), and then last night we were raring to post a slew of new videos and photos, only to discover that our computer had flatlined. So we're taking it in tomorrow for repairs and are hoping for a quick recovery. In the meantime, we'll keep tweeting away, but hopefully we be back blogging before you know it!

Park and recreation
This weekend when went into the city to visit my friends Eric and Sara (well, they're Dad's friends too), as well as their stuffed lifesize doll Patty. We saw their terrific new apartment, and even better, the nearby playground. Henry enjoyed bonding with Eric while I hit the slide with Sara.
Here's a quick video:
And an illness update: I've been back at school the past two days (though my nose is still a little runny), but I predictably passed my stuffy nose on to Henry, who is now sick for the first time ever. So last night was not fun for him (or Mom and Dad). But he already got me back by sneezing right in my face as I leaned in close this morning.

Eyes wide shut?
Here I am, four months old today! I think it's hysterical to watch Julia get confused as to why my birthday each month does not warrant birthday cake.
But with a new age comes new responsibilities. And new contraptions to figure out! Now that I can support my head, Mom and Dad have been putting me in the Bumbo. I still have a ways to go before I master it, as you can see.
This morning, I came downstairs to find this colorful, crazy contraption called an Exersaucer. I tried it out, and was captivated but I'm not completely confortable in it yet. Look for photos and videos soon as I settle in! Mom and Dad also brought out something called a Jumperoo. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'll let you know when I do.
And before I sign off, I wanted to share something that's been freaking my parents out a little. I have a tendency to sleep with my eyes half open, like this:
I'm actually out cold, but Mom and Dad often never know for sure. As always, it's fun keeping them on their toes!

School can be hazardous to your health
So it only took a week, but I'm already sick of school. Actually, sick from school. Yes, I stayed home from school today with a runny nose, which Dad says is just the first in what will likely be a long line of illnesses that I'll catch from my classmates and bring home to spread around the house. It's a good thing that I always keep my distance from Henry, because I sure wouldn't want to him to get sick...
Oops!
Oh well, in happier (and healtier) news, isn't this a great photo of me, Henry and Dad?

Duck and cover
Wow, my first week of school flew by in a flash! But before the weekend begins, I wanted to share some photos of our recent visit with Mom's friend Alexandra.
And last week, before all the Baptism festivities, Mom took me to the art festival in town and I got a duck painted on my cheek. Isn't it super-cute?
It looks even better when I'm wearing my Cinderella dress and a pretty, flowing headband!
It's just too bad that Mom and Dad scrubbed the duck off my cheek before the Baptism. I think it would have gone great with the beautiful dress I wore that day!

Twirling girl
If you're like me, you were reading Henry's account of his Baptism yesterday and thinking, "Yes, that's all very interesting, but what was Julia up to?" Well, wonder no more! I had a great time as well, hanging out with family like Uncle Ryan...
...And seeing friends I haven't seen in a long while, like Anne, who enjoyed doing my hair.
But my favorite activity of the day was twirling around in my pretty dress. It looked so beautiful, how could I resist? Take a look:

Happy Baptism to me!
Sunday was my Baptism, and lots of family and friends showed up to celebrate my big day. Mom dressed me in the same baptismal gown that she — and more recently, Julia —wore. I can't believe she or Dad were ever as tiny as I am!
I had a meltdown right before the Baptism, but Dad gave me a bottle, which was enough to knock me out for most of the ceremony. At least until this moment happened:
That holy water shower sure woke me up! Soon after, Aunt Jess put a special baptismal vestment on me.
After the baptism, I posed for lots of pictures. Here I am with Mom, Dad, Julia and my godparents: Aunt Jess and Joe (Saffron and Jonathan's dad).
Here I am with Dad's side of the family:
And here I am with Mom's side of the family:
After the Baptism, Mom and Dad had a reception for me at a nearby restaurant.
I spent time with Aunt Halina...
And Uncle Ryan...
And while I didn't get to eat any cake, it sure looked good!
Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate my Baptism. It meant a lot to me to have you there. If you weren't able to be there, here's a video of what you missed:

Class is in session!
I'm sure you're eager to hear all about Henry's Baptism, but you're going to have to wait until tomorrow. I'm pulling rank today so I can tell you about my big day: my first day of school yesterday!
It went really, really well. Mom, Dad and Henry all brought me to school, and while seemingly every other kid there was in hysterics, I said goodbye and happily bounded in, oblivious to the chorus of crying kids around me.
Before I knew it, it was noon and school was over! I told Mom all the people who were crying, but I didn't cry at all! Here's the video of my big morning:
And school today was even more fun! Mom and Dad are very relieved that it's going so well, and that I'm loving it so much!

Growth potential
Mom and Dad have had plenty of reminders lately about how old I'm getting. I had a doctor's appointment last week and I now weigh 16 lbs 2 oz (which puts me in the 90th percentile) and my height is 26.5 inches (97th percentile). Earlier this week I outgrew my size 2 diapers so now I'm all about the size 3s. And on Sunday, I have something called a Baptism!
I'm also thinking about trying out for American Idol. I've certainly got the pipes for it. What do you think?
I'm not the only one is who is getting older. Julia starts nursery school on Monday!
Speaking of Julia, I recently reenacted one of Julia's old baby photos. Can you guess which is which?
Okay, fine, her pink shirt (and big cheeks!) gave it away. I'm on top; Julia was on the bottom. Have a great weekend, and I'll tell you all about this Baptism thing next week!

Playing pool
When we visited Grandma and Grandpa last weekend to celebrate Grandpa's birthday, I had only two demands. First, I wanted some of Grandpa's birthday cake (I started asking for it the moment I walked in the house). Then, I wanted to take a dip in the pool. I'm happy to say that I went two-for-two, and as a bonus, Aunt Jess was there to make pooltime even more fun.
Take a look at my swimming pool antics:
I also visited "Tot Lot," the playground that Dad went to when he was younger. It's not as good as the ones near our home, but as long as there are swings and slides, I'm a happy camper!
And what was Henry up to during all that? Bonding with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Jess.

Twin travels
Last week, Mom, Julia, Bobbi and me took a trip down the shore to Ocean Grove, where we visited the twins Jonathan and Saffron (and their parents Joe and Suni). I enjoyed hanging around some people my own size. Look at how cute we were all lined up in our baby carriers!
They also gave me some pointers on how to repay Julia for all her torture over the past few months. Saffron is getting good and moving around, and she lunged for some of Julia's toys, which made my sister very unhappy. Thanks Saffron, I'll have to remember that trick when I get a little mobile!
Julia also had fun with the twins.
And then she, Joe and Mom headed for the beach and boardwalk.
And Julia got to do one of her favorite shore activities: go on the rides!
Daddy dearest
We've had so many photos and videos to post during the past month, that inevitably a few things slip through the cracks. Here's a cute photo of me and Dad from a few weeks ago:
And speaking of Dad, I've come a long way from the days where I used to get upset when he came home from work. Now I pester Mom the entire day about when Dad is coming home and whether we can all go down to meet his bus. It's one of the highlights of my day! I was very upset last night when his bus had a near-accident, which caused him to be delayed almost an hour. "Daddy's bus broke! The policeman had to come to help out!" I told Mom and Dad all night long.
Mom is still my favorite, so that hasn't changed, but it's a tighter race than it used to be!

Blanket coverage
I'm guaranteed to never get cold when Julia is around, because she always makes sure that I'm covered with as many blankets as possible, even when it's 95 degrees outside! Take a look:
Did you hear how she kept asking Mom "Who bought you that?" and "Who made that?"? She asks those same questions about everything she sees. She wants to know who bought it and who made it.
Here's another video of how Julia kept me bundled up on a warm summer's day:
I just hope she doesn't reverse course and strip me down when it starts snowing!

No Bobbi, no Dido and no Nia!
I had a great weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's (Aunt Jess was there too — I'll talk more about later in the week). This is going to be a weird week, because Bobbi and Dido are away on vacation in the Dominican Republic, so we won't see them at all. It's just going to be Mom, Henry and me all day until Dad gets home! Also, my friend Nia starts all-day school this week, so we're not going to be able to have any playdates during the week anymore. How sad! At least we took a few pictures during one of our last playdates together.
Have fun at school, Nia!
