Around the World: Day 5
We ended our Disney week on a high note, with a thrilling trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios). First off, the whole family went on Toy Story Mania, which was tons of fun. Then we had a meet and greet that was right up my alley with Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars.
For lunch, we ate at Pizza Planet, that awesome pizza/arcade place from Toy Story. After lunch, Julia and I checked out the latest video games.
Julia enjoyed meeting characters from Little Einsteins (which is a little too advanced for me).
Next, we met Lotso from Toy Story 3, who smells like strawberries (so you know that I loved him!).
Speaking of Toy Story, Mom and Julia met a toy solider from the movie.
Julia and I spent some time with the stars of Monsters, Inc., Mike and Sulley.
While we waited on line for another chance to talk to Buzz, Julia learned what she'd look like if she was a Buzz Lightyear toy.
She joined the Toy Story aliens as they awaited the arrival of the all-knowing Claw.
She posed with Stinky Pete (from Toy Story 2) in his toy box.
And she joined the chase through the airport baggage machinery during the climax of Toy Story 2.
Finally, we got to say hello to Buzz again.
Mom and Dad took us to a special show that was tailor-made for me, featuring all sorts of incredible car stunts. I was riveted!
It was almost time to go, but we got to say goodbye to Mickey and thank him for a wonderful week.
I had been playing "nosy-nosy" with Dad, Mom and Julia all week, and I finally got to play it with Mickey!
Julia played nosy-nosy with Mickey too.
Who'd have thought that Smee from Peter Pan would be greeting guests? Not us.
Julia also had a chance to visit with Mulan, who isn't her favorite princess — but she wasn't about to pass up the chance to take a picture with a princess!
Then we said hi to Chip and Dale.
Finally, we ended the week by saying hi to Frozone from The Incredibles. We had no idea at the time who he was, but since we got home from Disney World we've watched the film several times — and we love it!
And that's a wrap on our Disney week. Well, except for this video of our final day at Disney.
